Who we are

PactWord is a brand operated by Shanghai Yuezhiwen Technology Co., Ltd. We build focused software tools for online merchants, including the AltPilot Shopify app.

Data processed by AltPilot

AltPilot is designed for product image alt text workflows. It uses Shopify product-only permissions for the initial release.

Shop domain and installation/session records needed to operate the app.
Product and product image metadata needed to scan alt text status.
Generated alt text suggestions, review status, apply and rollback history.
Usage, job status, billing plan, and credit ledger records needed for quotas and support.

AltPilot does not require customer, order, checkout, fulfillment, or theme access for its current product image workflow.

How we use data

To scan product images and identify missing or weak alt text.
To generate conservative alt text suggestions and show them for merchant review.
To apply merchant-approved alt text changes and support rollback.
To provide billing, quota, support, abuse prevention, debugging, and compliance operations.

Service providers

We use Shopify to provide app installation, product APIs, embedded app surfaces, billing, and app lifecycle webhooks. We use Cloudflare for hosting, Workers, D1 database, R2 storage, Queues, and AI infrastructure.

Retention and deletion

We retain operational records while a shop uses the app and for a limited period afterward when needed for support, security, billing, or legal reasons. When Shopify sends a shop redaction webhook or a verified deletion request is processed, we delete shop-scoped AltPilot records from our active app database unless retention is required by law.

Security

We use signed Shopify OAuth and webhook verification, store secrets outside source code, and keep the app's data access narrow. No security measure is perfect, but we design the service to minimize unnecessary data collection.
